    One teacher has spent three weeks with a group of Tajik English teachers. She said a day that her students would like to have a book of American teenagers stories. Once at home she didn’t find any books like that, then, she begins to interview some young people about their everyday lives and shares that with her colleagues.
    When the U.S Department Office of English Language Programs decided publish this little book, they demand for sounds recording and pictures, but it was very difficult to do that.

    I want to share with you what I learned from the introduction of the book called: American Teen Talk by Nancy Ackles.
    I he introduction, she talks about the challenges she encountered when she wanted to interviewing the young people, and when she wanted to use voice recordings and pictures of them, because, she had to ask permission from their parents, which was not easy.
    She concluded her introduction by thanking different people who helped her, including her husband.
    At my view point, this book seems to be very interesting. I invite you all to read it with much interest.

    Very interesting lesson. I learned about desire to publish a book about American teenagers. Interviewing teenagers about their ordinary lives, taking pictures and recordings of them also requires parental permission.

    First of all, the introduction allow us to practice how to write a document in past tense. Thi is a good illustration.
    Secondly, indeed as the author expexted, this book has become in an interesting way to practice reading and speaking English, that surely we will enjoy learning more about America and American life.
    Finally, in this introduction the author describes how this book was concived and written with the support of the U.S. State Depertment’s Office of English Language Programs, including sound recording and pictures of the teens.

    In the introduction , the author Nancy Ackles wanted to make a book for teenagers. Some students asked her to fond a book about teenager using a real english in their routines. So she decided to make one. The author had a lot of problems with the audios and photos to publish. She worked with teenagers talking about their lifes, but they need the of the book we have to the author describing about how her work was. She worked the conversations with teenagers, but they needed the parent’s permissions. Some parents didn’t accept. Finally, Nancy says tahnk you the people who helped to make the audios and convesations.

    In summer of 2009 The American Teen Talk author of the book had the opportunity to meet with a group of Tajik English teacher. One of the teacher said, that his students would like to have a story book teenagers, so that, when she turned home. She started to search but she couldn´t find a book like that, Since then she started to interview ordinary young. When the Us State Department´s office English languague program decided to make publish the little book, Then they asked sound recordings and photos, she faced the challenge to ask parents permission to record and pubish photos to the students. As a result many to the photos and sound recordings are to the same person but others are from two, three or four different persons but, many parents asked no to public the true name to their sons.
    The writer also does mention that no one the participants in the project were professional models, actors or readers. She ended up the introduction to the book with the acknowledgements to all the people that to support his project.

  9. Hi every one, the book we talk about is American teens talk by Nancy akcles. So in her introduction she talked how her spend three weeks with the group of tajik english teachers and their would like to have the book about American teenagers. Once at home she didn’t find the book so she began to interview the young people about their everyday lives, it wasn’t easy for her to have some photos and sounds from young people and she give us courage to practice reading and speaking english.

    1. There will be an interesting way for us to practice reading and speaking English. We learned about challenges in working or interviewing with people. We will enjoy learning a little bit more about America and American teenagers life.
