- In the U.S., getting a driver’s license is a
very important and exciting event for
young people. It means that they are
beginning to be adults and that they
can have a little more freedom and
independence than children have. Are
there special events in a teenager’s life in
your culture that show you are becoming
an adult? What are they? - In the U.S., girls often stay all night at
the home of their girlfriends on Friday or
Saturday night. Their mothers supervise
them. Where do young people in your
country get together to talk with their
friends? Who supervises them? (Supervise
means watch and be sure nothing bad
happens.)

Discussion questions.
The same practice in our country is made after becoming adults. Children try to learn driving and for that, they join a driving school and try to get a driving permit. I don’t think that we have any other specific culture for becoming an adult.
In our country girls go to their friend’s houses and sleepover. It’s the mother’s duty to take care of them.
Greetings Maestro Sersea
In Honduras, a child is considered an adult at the age of 18 years old. That is when the young people get their Id. Since there you can to tramit whatever t legal document that you need independently of your parents as a citizen including the permits to drive. You cannot get your driver’s license if you don’t have done a course provided by the Transit Police and submitted your legal documents such as Identification Card, Sight, and blood analysis.
