    New, years Day.
    In the United States . People begin celebrating the new year on December 31 New Year’s Eve . Many people have parties , and sometimes masquerade balls, where guest dress up in costume and cover their faces with masks hide their identity .According to an old tradition guests unmask , or remove their masks at midnight . This celebration is telecast live on news channels across the nation.
    The tradition of the year is a heigh lift of New Year’s Eve not only in time square but at parties and get together throughout their nation.
    Some towns and cities host a “first night “celebration ,a large community . First night parties provide a safe and often alcohol free environment for people of all ages to sociAlize celebrate and “ ring in the new year” together the parade was started in 1890 when professor Charles F holder suggested to the Pasadena valley hunt club that they sponsor a parade to showcase . The winter beauty and sunshine of the area. The parade was to be “an artistic celebration of the ripening of the oranges” at the beginning of the years .the first parade consisted of decorated , horse draws carriages , Motorized float were added few years later, and prize were given for the most beautiful .Floods thousands of spectators line the parade routes, arriving early in the morning or comping out over night order to secure the best spot for viewing the parade , which begins at 8A.M spectators and participants alike enjoy the pageantry associated with the occasion

    ” New Year Day ”
    in the past several years, people from all over the word celebrate and have holiday on January 1.Just as important as it is to celebrate and rejoice any other day. Most new year’s festivities begin on December 31(New Year’s Eve) common traditions include attending parties, eating special new year foods, making resolutions for the year, many people remember last year’s achievements and failures and look forward to the promise of a new of a new year, of a new beginning, just before midnight on new year’s eve, people hold hands and sing a traditional song,they count the seconds down to the new year and when the clock strikes midnight, they hug and kiss and wish each other a happy new year! sometimes people set off fireworks as the new year begins.
