    Christmas Day
    Christmas is a joyful holiday that is celebrated by most people in the United States . Even thought it’s origins are Christian it has become a holiday season that is celebrated in various ways by people of many faiths. The Christmas story comes from the Bible . In the story an angle appeared to shepherds and told them that savior had been born to Mary and Mary and Joseph in stable in Bethlehem.
    On Christmas Eve , December 24 , many people attend evening church services , often at midnight attention is focused on the nativity science.
    The story of the birth of Jesus and on the spirit of Christmas .
    Some people visit friends and neighbors on Christmas Day .
    Santa Clause origin goes back to Norse and pre Christian mythological characters who were also associated with gift giving . The legend of Saint Nicholas may have developed from stories and real saint Nicholas . A priest who lived in the 300s AD. And reportedly gave money to a poor family while he became a symbol for gift giving among Christmas .
    Another important custom of Christmas is to send and receive Christmas cards, that express the sentiment of the season . Today many people choose cards ‘that say simply , Happy Holiday , or Season’s Greeting”, Which are inclusive of all faiths.

Santa clause, a Legendary figure, who is the traditional patron of Christmas in the United State and other countries, brings gifts to children. His popular image is based on traditions associated with Saint, Nicholas, who was much admired for piety and kindness. St, Nicholas became the subject of many legends, it is said that he gave away all of his wealth and travelled the countryside helping the poor and sick people.
