    An aim of black history month is to expose harmful effects of racial prejudice , another is to recognize significant contributions made by people with musician , scientists , political , figures.

    SELECTED FIRST- BLACK HISTORY (article 1)
    This article is about black history. In particular, there is talk of relevant black people in African-American history, in seven specific areas or sectors.
    Regarding governments, Joseph Rainey, originally a slave, became an active politician and was the first black US representative in South Carolina in 1870.
    in science and medicine, Charles Drew became the director of the first American Red Cross blood bank, in 1941. In the field of literature and publishing, Phillis Weately is considered the founder of African-American literature; In the world of cinema, Chicar Micheoux was one of the few independent filmmakers with a long and successful career outside of Hollywood.
    As for music, Todd Duncan was the first African-American singer at the New York City Opera, and by the year 1967, H. Lawrence became the first black astronaut.
    We can also reference Sergeant William Carney, who received the Congressional Medal of Honor for his bravery during the Civil War and in sports, Jakie Robinson became the first black major league baseball player in 1947.
    BLACK HISTORY MONTH (article 2)
    This is one of the most widely celebrated of federal months, originally stablished to remind all American of their ethnic roots and that this conmemoration would let increase mutual respect. one aim of black history month, is to expose the harmful effects or racial prejudices, and another one is to recognize significative contributions made by people with african heritage, including artists, musicians, scientists, plitical figures, educators and athletes.
